Field Compaction Verification

Field density testing verifies that compacted soil meets the required compaction standards for structural support.
We perform in-place density testing to confirm that fill and subgrade soils achieve the specified percentage of maximum dry density as determined by laboratory Proctor testing (ASTM standards).
Results are reported as a percentage of maximum dry density and compared to project specifications and applicable Florida Building Code requirements.

About the Principal
Daniel Morao, P.E., CGC, CPC, CCC, M.ASCE is a licensed Professional Engineer and construction professional with over 24 years of experience in civil and geotechnical engineering.
Throughout his career, he has provided engineering consulting and leadership for residential, commercial, coastal, and infrastructure projects across Florida. His expertise includes subsurface investigations, foundation evaluation, limestone assessment, bearing capacity analysis, and construction materials testing.
As President of CVIII Engineering Group, he is directly involved in technical oversight, field operations, and final engineering review. Every report issued by the firm reflects his commitment to practical, defensible, and code-compliant engineering solutions.
